Pelotonia 2017, what a great weekend!

What a fantastic Pelotonia weekend! The weather couldn't have been better! I had a wonderful time riding with the boys. Thank you again everyone for your support!

Below are photos from the weekend. Enjoy!

Friday night check-in, Robby (3rd year rider) checked in first...

...then Skyler (1st year rider!).

The boys getting their swag bags. Very cool backpacks this year, with an awesome looking t-shirt inside!

Dinner Friday night, you know those two went back for more :)

Faster than all the dinosaurs, except for the velociraptor.

The stage is set for a great evening

Saturday morning at the start.

Saturday morning, getting ready to roll out!

Sky, cruising out on the road. Robby road with us for a few minutes, but by this time he was well ahead of us.

Some buddies of mine. Josh, on my right, has ridden Pelotonia for 8 years. Jeremy, on my left, has ridden for 8 years as well.

We found Robby at the first rest stop.

Fueling up!

Moving right along!

Skyler's on my first racing bike, an all steel Pinarello.

25 mile rest stop...

...and 35 mile rest stop. Ten miles to go!

Finished! The boys did a great job!

I headed out after having lunch with Claud and the boys. This was the Granville rest stop, they were already starting to break it down when I got there.

This was really cool to see along the route. Apparently the guy who painted it is the same guy who painted the barns with the Ohio bicentennial symbol back in 2003 (for the bicentennial he painted a side to a barn in each county; there are 88 counties in OH!)

Mile 77. At this point, I am tired and my butt is sore. Not a good sign with so many miles left.

Done with Day 1!

Day 1, finished!

I know the owner of this shop, Ric Noland, he's one of the hardest working guys in the bike biz in Columbus. He does fantastic work!

Saturday morning, waiting to roll out.

First rest stop. Luckily I got there early, by the time I left the line for the porta johns was about 25 people deep.

Fastest way to mix Gatorade for some thirsty people!

Next few pics I'm just riding along, enjoying the day.

My buddy Zak at one of the rest stops. I gave him my 'Superstar Volunteer' wristband. He's always out there cheering us on. And he rode the day before, too!

Band playing at Zak's rest stop.

Rest stop at 40 miles in.

Final rest stop before the last few miles to the finish.

Me and Pelotonia CEO Doug Ulman.

These ice pops were a great refresher on the hot day.

Day 2, all done!

Best support crew ever! Thank you again to everyone for your donations, support, and encouragement! I'm already looking forward to next year!
